We believe that we are all storytellers. And we all have a story to tell about climate change.
Our vision is to develop a new template for engagement between the public and environmental research scientists, one that involves working with arts practitioners for whom storytelling and communication lies in their professional DNA.
Our aim is to break down current communication barriers between climate scientists and the wider public by engaging the professional communication skills of arts practitioners from a range of disciplines. This will enable the public, artists and scientists to co-develop new creative approaches to dealing with environmental change, one based on an innovative method of engagement through shared projects.
Climate Stories is a project led by the University of Exeter funded by NERC under their Engaging Environments programme.
